Eldress Ward is an Associate Minister at St. Luke FWB Church in Stantonsburg, NC. In 2008, she founded Devine Destiny Church in Fremont, NC and pastored for approximately two and half years.
Born and reared in Wilson, North Carolina, Eldress Cassie Ward attended Fike High School from 1988-1992 where she graduated with an academic diploma. She furthered her education at North Carolina Central University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. Additionally she went on to become a graduate of Liberty University where she obtained a Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling.
HER STORY: She is an overcomer of childhood molestation, years of depression, exposure to suicide, stroke, verbal/mental abuse, and a divorce. Believing in the Father for restoration, she held her head up and kept seeking brighter days. Although times have been hard, she has totally depended and believed in God for favor. Through prayer, fasting, soaking, hearing, and standing on the promises of God, she has obtained joy. She is no longer a victim, but victorious.
Now, she motivates others to become an overcomer. Like the tree by the river, she was steadfast and immoveable. Furthermore, she has activated faith to tap into the abundance of God’s blessings; an abundance available to us all that believe.
On July 4, 1999, Eldress Ward accepted her call into the ministry and preached her initial sermon “After the Trials and Tribulations.” She obtained her Minister’s License on October 22, 2000 and her Ordination License on October 19, 2001. Now, an ordained minister of the Gospel, she exercises her gifts as an author, motivational speaker, teacher and preacher.
She was also associated with the North East A Conference, the Minister Director of District Union #. In addition, she is a gospel playwright and has successfully directed and toured “Spare Not and Cry Loud” in five NC cities, “The Gift” and “Can These Dry Bones Live”. However, her greatest achievement is the publishing of her first book “The Cry of the Christian: the unexplained Tears of a Minister” which recently received the “Reader’s Choice Award” from Jabez Publishing, Plano, TX. Not willing to stay idle, she has accepted the position of Director over the School of Prayer, affiliated with the Anointed for Business Leaders Institute.
Yet still knowing that ministry starts in the home, she instills the aforementioned and so much more to her awesomely loved two growing teenagers.

Lead Program to Promote Abstinence Before Marriage for Youth
Program History: This program is designed to educate youth to practice abstinence before marriage. The program’s idea is to educate youth/teens to wait until marriage before engaging in sexual activities. We desire the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, teenage pregnancy, and/or high school drop-out rates. We also desire the education and awareness of self-reflection, self-esteem, and ultimately self-worth.
The goal is to educate through literature, workshops, seminars, group sessions, and fun activities. Fun activities can consist of outings with other group members or a group theme park adventure trip, to reward a successful year.
The open/deadline to enroll is each September 1st thru September 30th for an annual participation in the workshops, education and on-going sessions. Age restrictions are in place as some sensitive topics will arise, therefore a level divine maturity is required. A commitment pledge must be completed by the participating youth, as well as the participating parent or guardian. No appropriately aged application is refused, and all denominations are welcomed. Click to review the documents, and email questions here.
